"My Malawi Chichlids"

These are some of the fish I'd like when I get the wherewithal and means to set up a sizeable tank. These like hard water (like London (dechlorinated) tapwater) and few if any plants ...

Lake Malawi in Africa which is FRESHWATER that is why I think they're so attractive they look like marine fish but live in normal freshwater which means they are WAY easier to look after and you can have about four times as many per size of tank (marine tanks always look practically empty bc the fishes have far more sensitive biological requirements going on, also you have to have absolutely ginormous tanks and some of the best looking & interesting stuff is poisonous) ...

London water is so hard and limey we have to throw kettles/washing machines/etc away after few years as all the elements get scaled up... also it tastes absolutely disgusting when you are not used to it in tea etc. Welsh water is really soft and tastes yummy (as water goes). Aparently chichlids like hard water but Amazonian fish like soft so you need softening drops for them. Or something sorry I bet this is getting really longwindedly turgidly gumfupporous
